At Ironwood Creek, our story is simple: we’re a family who fell in love with two incredible breeds — the Miniature American Shepherd and the Miniature Dachshund — and decided to pour our hearts into raising them the right way. Although we began breeding just two years ago, we’ve spent far longer researching, learning, and building a program rooted in ethics, intention, and a deep respect for the breeds we love.

Our home is full of life, noise, muddy boots, and paw prints. We have four children who are hands‑on with every litter, which means our puppies grow up surrounded by play, affection, and real‑world socialization from day one. They’re raised right in the middle of our family, not in a kennel building — and it shows in their confidence, temperament, and connection to people.

We believe that bettering the breed is a responsibility, not a slogan. That’s why we health test each of our dogs and carefully pair our breeding. We focus on structure, temperament, health, and the long‑term wellbeing of every puppy we raise. We treat our dogs like our own children, and we’re passionate about giving each puppy the best possible start before they join their forever families.
